Chaotic pendulum: The apparatus consists of a double upper arm connected to a bearing mounted support with 360 degrees of freedom and a shorter lower pendulum mounted between the upper pendulum arms which also has 360 degrees of freedom. The apparatus is released at the top of its arc of motion with the pendulums together and results in a different pattern of motion each time it is released.
